Values-Based Life Planning for Peace of Mind

You’ve been working so hard to get where you are. And now you’re starting to wonder why!

Nothing seems to hold that magic for you any more. Not your job, not your relationship, not even some of your friends. You’re ready for a change, but you don’t know what you want and you don’t know how to get there. You’re frustrated and confused. You’re stuck.

I have a system for getting you unstuck!

Here’s how we do it:

First we identify your personal core values and define your goals.

Creating a life of meaning is only possible if you are clear about your own unique set of values and can use them to identify your own specific smart goals. I know lots of ways to help you identify what is most important to you. You might even surprise yourself! I want to make sure that your goals are aligned with your values, not based on what anyone has ever told you they “should” be! We’ll start there.

Next we look for the patterns.

Chances are that when you were a child, you developed ways of being and patterns of reacting that worked for you as a child. Maybe you were the high-achieving kid who made their parents proud. Maybe you were the social kid who was always popular and in-demand. Maybe you were the peacemaker, the one who kept everyone happy when things got tense.

Your role in the family was how you survived as a kid, and it is still one of your greatest strengths. As an adult, though, that same strength can start to get in your way. It’s so automatic that you probably don’t even realize what is happening. You just feel uncomfortable, confused, and anxious. You feel stuck.

Time and time again I see how people beat themselves up for something they consider to be a weakness—anxiety, people-pleasing, shyness, etc. When we look closer we always find that they developed these ways of responding to life in order to manage the situations they found themselves in as young children. You don’t have to have experienced major trauma to be affected by things that happened to you as a child!

Then things start to change…

When we examine these patterns together (don’t worry, if you aren’t aware of what they are, I am really good at figuring that out!) you begin to gain the ability to choose when to change up your old patterns and when to create new ones that serve you better!

My clients learn why they keep having the same bad relationship, and they begin to change the dynamic and create the healthy, loving and supportive partnerships they desire and deserve.

They learn why they are stuck at work, and they begin to move forward and plan their next move.

They learn why they feel like nothing really matters, and why they are so adrift. They begin to find meaning again, and move forward building a life they love.
